The Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman (ASBFEO) receive many requests to raise awareness and share knowledge of issues facing small and family businesses. We aim to support as many opportunities as possible; however, due to the volume of requests and conflicting timings, we are unable to accept them all. 

To ensure fairness and alignment with our objectives, this Speaking Engagements and Events Policy guide decisions on participation in speaking engagements and events. Each request is assessed against how it complements ASBFEO’s mission and core functions.

This policy ensures that participation in events: 

• is appropriate and respectful of small and family businesses
• complies with our governance and compliance requirements
• supports ASBFEO’s objectives and strategic priorities.
• If you would like the Ombudsman or ABSFEO employees to participate in an event, please review this policy before submitting a request by completing the Speaking Engagements and Event Request Form.
