Key changes for small business from 1 July 2019

Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman Kate Carnell outlines some of the key changes coming into effect from 1 July 2019 that may impact small businesses.

Some of the key changes:

• rise in the minimum wage
• reduction in Sunday penalty rates
• Single Touch Payroll
• new Banking Code of Practice.
