National Payment Transparency Register

Join the National Payment Transparency Register and promote your commitment to good payment practices for small business suppliers.

Late payments can cause significant problems for small businesses. Along with extended payment terms, late payments affect cash flow, impact on business growth and can easily put a business out of operation.

In April 2017, the ASBFEO conducted an inquiry to examine payment times and practices in Australia.

The inquiry recommended establishing a National Payment Transparency Register to publish the payment terms and practices of businesses. The register allows suppliers to assess the impact on their working capital before entering new supply agreements.

Join the register

Australian businesses, big or small, can join the register via our Online Form. It takes about 10 minutes to complete and requires details about your:

• payment terms

• definition of small business

• performance against payment terms.

Feedback on payment times performance

We invite small business suppliers to provide feedback – good and bad – about their experience with getting paid by the registered businesses.

Simply complete the General Enquiry form and flag your feedback as ‘Payment Times Register’. Where there is an issue, we will follow up with both parties.
