National Payment Transparency Register

In April 2017, the ASBFEO, in association with the Council of Small Business Australia (COSBOA), the Australian Institute of Credit Management (AICM), Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) and in partnership with the Small Business Commissioners in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia conducted an inquiry to examine payment times and practices in Australia.

The inquiry recommended establishing a National Payment Transparency Register.

Australian businesses are invited to submit their payment times reporting data to the ASBFEO for publication through our online survey. For enquiries contact advocacy@asbfeo.gov.au.

We invite small businesses suppliers to let us know their issues with, or improvements in, getting paid on time.

• This may be a change in a customer’s policy to extend payment times.

• It might be that a particular customer always pays after the agreed terms.

• Or a large customer has reduced its payment time and streamlined its processes.

To let us know, please complete the General Enquiry form, flag as Payment Times Register, outline your issue and we will give you a call.

Signatories as at 14 December 2017 are able to be viewed on the National Payment Transparency Register.
